CLS EVERYDAY CLEANER STANDARD

CLS elevates facility cleaning with our Everyday Cleaner Standard. As an example, we complete 38 checkpoints just for restroom areas.

Our Carpet Maintenance Service maintains carpeting so well we have buildings with carpet which is 20-years old. Included in our regular maintenance program is pressure washing restrooms, for which most other companies charge extra.

  • Shall be free of spots, stains, gum, dirt and debris without causing damage; it shall appear visibly and uniformly clean.
  • Adjoining walls, doors, and floor surfaces shall also be free of dust, soil, and cleaner residue.
  • Carpets shall be vacuumed with a brush type, dual motor, vacuum (Windsor Versamatic or comparable).
  • Carpet will be spot cleaned using hot water extraction.
  • Shall appear streak-free, film-free, and uniformly clean.
  • Eliminate dust and soil from sills and ledges
  • Shall be free of dust, dried-soil, finish build-up and debris.
  • These areas shall be visibly and uniformly clean.
  • This shall include the elimination of cleaner residue.
  • Floors shall have approximately 5-7 coats of a slip-resistant seal and that results in a consistent high shine.
  • Floors shall appear visibly and uniformly smooth and clean.
  • This shall include the elimination of dust streaks, lint, standing water, cleaner residue and film.

  • Shall be free of dust, dried-soil gum, spots, stains and debris.
  • Floors shall be cleaned with appropriate product that meets or exceeds flooring manufacturer’s recommended cleaning specification.
  • Grout must be kept so that there is uniform color throughout.
  • All stone floors will be machine scrubbed and sealed with a stone soap cleaner equivalent to a 3M Cornerstone product.
  • Shall be free of dust, dried-soil without causing damage.
  • These surfaces shall appear visibly and uniformly clean.
  • This shall include the elimination of film, streaks and cleaner residue.

TRACKS

  • Shall be free of dirt and debris.
  • Tracks shall appear visibly clean.
  • This shall include the elimination of standing water from wet cleaning procedures.

LIGHTS

  • Shall be free of dust and soil and stains without causing damage. Diffusers shall remain in proper position.
  • They shall appear streak-free, film free and uniformly clean.
  • Waste and debris shall be removed from ceiling diffusers.

RAILS & WALLS

  • Shall be free of dust and dried soil without causing damage.
  • These surfaces shall appear visibly and uniformly smooth and clean.
  • This shall include the elimination of film, streaks, and cleaner residue or film.

STEPS & LANDINGS

  • Shall be free of dust, dried soil, gum, stains and debris.
  • These surfaces shall appear uniformly smooth and clean without leaving dust streaks, lint, standing water, cleaner residue or film.

RESTROOMS: General

  • Maintaining a sanitary restroom environment will minimize the possibility of cross infection, of the highest priority.
  • Sanitation levels shall be closely monitored by periodic inspections.

RESTROOMS: Dispensers

  • Shall be free of dust, dried-soil, bacteria without causing damage.
  • These surfaces shall appear visibly and uniformly clean and disinfected.
  • This shall include the elimination of film, streaks, and cleaner residue.
  • Dispensers shall be refilled when necessary with proper expendable supply item.
  • This includes soap, toilet tissue, toilet seat covers, deodorizer, paper towel and feminine hygiene product dispensers.

RESTROOMS: Hardware

  • Shall be free of dust, soil, bacteria, and scale without causing damage.
  • Bright work shall appear visibly and uniformly clean, disinfected and polished to a streak-free shine.
  • This shall include elimination of polish residue.

RESTROOMS: Sinks

  • Shall be free of dust, bacteria, soil, cleaner residue, and soap film without causing damage.
  • They shall appear visibly and uniformly clean, and polished-dry.
  • This shall include the elimination of streaks, embedded soil, stains, film and water spots.

RESTROOMS: Mirrors

  • Shall be free of dust and soil.
  • Mirrors and surrounding metal framework shall appear streak free, film-free and uniformly clean.

RESTROOMS: Waste Containers

  • Contents shall be removed from waste containers and can liners replaced.
  • Inside and outside of the container shall be cleaned and disinfected.
  • Containers shall appear visibly and uniformly clean.
  • This shall include the elimination of streaks, foodstuff and the presence of an offensive odor emitting from the container.

RESTROOMS: Walls & Doors

  • Shall be free of dust, soil, spots and stains without causing damage.
  • These surfaces shall appear visibly and uniformly clean/disinfected.
  • This shall include the elimination of film, streaks and cleaner residue.
  • Ceramic walls, metal kick plates, handles and push plates on doors shall also be polished dry.

RESTROOMS: Floors & Cove Bases

  • Shall be free of dust, dried-soil, gum, spots, stains, and debris.
  • Hard/resilient floors shall have multiple coats of a slip-resistant seal and that will result in a consistent high shine.
  • Floors shall appear visibly and uniformly smooth and clean.
  • This shall include the elimination of dust streaks, lint standing water, cleaner residue, and film.

RESTROOMS: Ceramic Tile Flooring

  • Shall be free of dust, dried-soil, gum, spots, stains and debris.
  • Floors shall be cleaned with appropriate stone floor cleaner and sealer that meets or exceeds flooring manufacturer’s recommended cleaning specifications.
  • Grout must be kept so that there is uniform color throughout.

RESTROOMS: Air Vents

  • Shall be free of dust and soil. This also pertains to air distribution units and exhaust vents.
  • They shall appear streak free and uniformly clean.

RESTROOMS: Light Fixtures

  • Shall be free of dust and soil without causing damage.
  • Diffusers shall remain in proper position, and appear streak free and uniformly clean.

RESTROOMS: Floor Drains

  • Floor drains shall be free of dust, bacteria, soil, organic matter, cleaner residue and scale without causing damage.
  • These drains shall appear visibly and uniformly clean, disinfected and polished dry.
  • This shall include the elimination of streaks, film, and water spots.
  • Drains shall be flushed regularly and sanitized with deodorizer, being sure that water always remains in the traps (at least one time per week).
